Hecate, Mother of Witchcraft, Goddess of Magic

Hecate Triformis is sometimes described (in the Italian tradition) as the combination of Luna, Hecate, and Diana, all old Italian Goddesses of the Moon.

I have also heard triple Hecate referred to as Luna above the earth, Diana upon it, and Proserpina below it.

In ancient Roman religion, Luna is the divine embodiment of the Moon. Both Hecate and Diana are seen as light-bearing goddesses, while the Moon, Luna, is so called from the verb to shine (lucere).

Both Diana and Hecate are torch-bearing goddesses of the crossroads, or liminal spaces between this world and the next, bringing light to the darkness, as in the moon, Luna.

One of her oldest epithets, Diana Trivia comes from the Latin trivium, "triple way", and refers to Diana's guardianship over three-way crossroads, as in Hecate Trioditis, ‘of the three ways.’

Also goddesses of fertility and childbirth, also intimately connected to the cycles of menstruation, pregnancy, and the moon.

Hecate is the Queen of the Witches and Goddess of Magic, intimately connected with the moon.

In southern Italy, Iside (Egyptian Isis) is worshipped, also a moon goddess, goddess of magic, and childbirth, fertility, marriage, and love. Temples and artifacts to Iside are found in Pompei, Rome, Benevento, among others.

We will be harnessing the magical power of these lunar goddesses among others in LUNAR TRANSFORMATION.
