The Feast Day of Santa Rita
Today, May 22, is the feast day for Santa Rita!!!
Rita of Cascia, born Margherita Lotti in the 1300’s was an Italian widow and nun. She is patron Saint of mothers, abused women, widows, lost and impossible causes and sickness.
She is attributed with several miracles, during her life including the stigmata, an incorruptible body after death, roses blooming out of season when she called for them, and ending feuds and vendettas within her family.
O Holy Patroness of those in need, Santa Rita, advocate of the hopeless and impossible causes, by your perfect union with divine will and divine love, grant our prayers.
